I am a Chartered Engineer (CEng), Principal (Senior) Network Engineer, and PhD researcher at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), with over 20 years of professional experience in IT and telecommunications. Holding an MSc in Communications Engineering and Signal Processing, I combine a strong theoretical foundation with extensive experience developing resilient, innovative, and business-focused engineering solutions.

My professional and academic interests connect research with real-world engineering challenges. Through doctoral study, I am extending my analytical capabilities and building on the practical knowledge gained throughout my career. I value rigorous investigation, critical evaluation, and clear documentation as essential foundations for both research and engineering practice.

Throughout my career, I have led complex projects, managed technical teams, and taken accountability for systems that balance performance, reliability, cost, and broader socioeconomic considerations. I approach challenges with curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to evidence-based decisions. Clear communication is equally important to me, particularly when explaining complex technical concepts to audiences with different backgrounds.

Having studied and worked in diverse cultural and professional environments, I bring adaptability, initiative, and a collaborative mindset to my work. My professional affiliations include MIET, MInstP, MBCS, ARAeS, and SMIEEE.

Core Strengths

  • Connecting academic research with practical engineering applications
  • Applying advanced analytical thinking to complex problems
  • Designing highly available, resilient network solutions
  • Delivering projects through effective planning, teamwork, and documentation

Through doctoral research, scholarly publications, and professional engagement, I contribute to the wider engineering and academic communities, supporting the development and exchange of knowledge in communications, IT, and engineering.
